OTH 806-Not Afraid

The episode starts with a dream sequence at Clay's house. Quinn just gets up and goes to the living room where she finds Clay and psycho Katie sitted together on the couch. Their faces are covered by scars and blood. Clay can barely talk as he is missing a part of his mouth. Quinn is horrified by what she sees and runs away when both Katie and Clay stand up to kill her. She finds Nathan in another room, playing video games, and asks him for help. Nathan answers that Clay will be fine thanks to his kidney (the scene shows Nathan pulling out one of his kidney while talking to Quinn). Quinn yells and tries to find Haley. She finds her in her bedroom, bleeding. Haley tells Quinn that she has been bitten and that she has to take care of Jamie. Quinn runs away with Jamie and suddenly arrives at Clothes Over Bros where Julian and Brooke are fighting against zombies. The dream sequence finishes when Jamie, who has become a zombie, jumps on Quinn to kill her.

This episode openning, which obviously celebrates Halloween, was very entertaining. Sophia Bush (Brooke), who directed the episode this week, did a nice job!
By the way, this dream sequence reveals that Quinn is still haunted by Katie, and we learn that she secretely bought a gun to protect herself and Clay. He realizes that something is wrong with Quinn, when she refuses to give candies to kids because she thought she saw, on the security monitor, psycho Katie coming up to their house. Clay advises her to get some rest in South Africa by taking a photo assignment for a few weeks.

Brooke starts realizing that she's lost everything and feels like she doesn't really know who she is anymore. Julian tries to cheer her up by complimenting her beauty and her talent. Then comes one of my favorite moments of the episode! Sylvia, Julian's mother, arrives in town and knocks on Brooke's door. When Brooke opens the door, Sylvia says: "Trick or treat?". Brooke, who doesn't know Julian's mother, thinks that this old woman is an idiot and answers her: "Aren't you a little old for trick or treating?".

This is the first lesson on "how to start a wonderful relationship with your mother in law" by Brooke Davis! But after this incident, Brooke is trying to make friends with Sylvia and shares with her her wedding planning book. Sylvia ignores all of Brooke's ideas but is enthraled by Julian's ones.
The things are getting worse between the two women when Sylvia dresses Julian up as a dalmatian for Halloween to match her Cruella Devil costume... After losing her company, Brooke will have to put up with Sylvia, who is (we have to admit it) a pain in the neck!

Nathan is scared not to be a good agent. His frist client is a young football player named Troy. I strongly believe that Nathan is going to be an awesome sport agent. He has sport in his blood, which is a considerable asset to advise other athletes.

Haley has been getting regular phone calls from Erin and finds out with surprise that Erin is the singer who performed at Tric.

Mouth and Millie are getting closer at the Halloween party, but because of a misunderstanding, Millie goes home with another guy who is wearing a Spartacus costume. The guy in question is tall and extremely muscular, which makes our poor skiny Mouth uncomfortable.

I enjoyed the theme song performed by Laura Izibor this week.

OTH 805-Nobody Taught Us to Quit

In this week's episode, Brooke and Nathan face a hard situation. They both have to announce officially that they are giving up the thing they love the most: Clothes Over Bros and basketball.

Brooke announces her final decision to her mother in jail. Victoria is extremely upset and thinks that Brooke has lost her mind. She asks Brooke not to visit her again after saying: "I leave you alone for a few days and you go back to that stupid girl who follows her heart". I can't say that I totally agree with Brooke's decision. Life is hard, especially when you are working in the business field. Being the CEO of a big company such as Clothes Over Bros involves that you have to face problems and take hard decisions. This is nice from her to give up her personal fortune for complete strangers but seriously... does she live in Disneyland, where everybody is happy and gets along with each other?

Nathan announces his decision to Clay (his agent) at the hospital. Surprisingly, Clay is nothing but supportive. What kind of man has this reaction after losing his main client? I know Nathan is his best friend but still! Is he not concerned about losing his carrer as well?
Luckily for him, Nathan comes up with the idea of being partners, so that Clay won't lose his other clients while he is convalescing.
By the way, it looks like a perfect career move for Nathan. As a former athlete, he will be more than able to advise and represent other athletes.

About the others:
- Clay gets out of the hosital and returns home with Quinn.
- Chase learns that Alex is living town to play in a new movie.
- Mouth has the opportunity to work in sport broadcasting again.

OTH 804-We All Fall Down

This episode starts with Nathan on the court playing basketball... alone. His decision to let his basketball carreer behind him is affecting him, and as he walks off the court, we can see (through Julian's video camera) the sadness and regrets in his eyes. I can hardly believe that Nathan will stay home to take care of his family. He is an athlete, which means that he needs action, physical activity to feel fine. Sport is for an athlete what drug is for a drug addict, you can't stop that easily! And I don't want to see a depressed Nathan trying to forget his sadness by drinking, as he did in season 5. Nathan is a real go-getter, so he will probably find something else to do, and hopefully it will be related to sport.

Brooke makes the hard decision of liquidating all the assets of Clothes Over Bros and of giving up her personal fortune. She wants to pay back all the investors who believed in her company. I would be glad to see the "poor Brooke" back to Tree Hill, even if the idea of giving up her personal money for complete strangers sounds a bit extreme to me. It will also have negative impacts on her wedding with Julian. They probably won't be able to organize the "wedding of their dreams" like they wanted to. However, Julian shows her a beautiful castle (Baltimore Estate) where he suggests to organize the ceremony.

Victoria is still in jail, and has other prisonners working for her. She wants to run Clothes Over Bros from jail and doesn't understand Brooke's will.

Alex and Chase enjoy a day of golfing. They were cute but I have to admit that, though it was entertaining, it was a bit cheesy. Alex reveals she's never been in love, and Chase that he was a member of the Clean Teens when he was a teenager. For those who don't remember, the Clean Teens was a club with the motto "Virgin for life".

Haley is happier than ever when she picks Quinn up at the hospital. Quinn is going to leave with Haley's family for a while (until Clay gets better).

We also learned that Haley is now volunteering at the crisis call center. She doesn't really enjoy her job because people are calling for trivial problems. But, she finally receives a call from a mysterious woman who seems to have a real need to talk to her. Haley is a good listener and I am sure she will give her good advice to overcome her problems.

The season is getting better. Hopefully, Tree Hill is back on the right track!
